Residence Requirement

A candidate for a MB Biblical Seminary degree must complete a minimum of thirty units from MB Biblical Seminary.

To receive a degree from MB Biblical Seminary, students must complete thirty units at the MB Biblical Seminary campus that will award the degree. (At present this is either Fresno or Langley.) Up to twelve units of residence requirements may be fulfilled for a degree from Fresno by courses taught by MB Biblical Seminary faculty in other locations where the course design, resources, and the pedagogical and formational environment have been determined to meet the MB Biblical Seminary standards of residency.

Residence requirements may not be fulfilled through Directed Studies or Distance Education courses.

Students are normally required to take the following courses if they are receiving their degree from MB Biblical Seminary-Fresno: Church and God’s Mission in the World, Discipleship and Ethics, Mentoring/SME series, Cross-Cultural Encounter/Cross-Cultural Counseling, at least one of the biblical theology courses (IS/TS-670: Theology and Integration for MFCC students), Practicum and Senior Seminar/Advanced Family Studies or Thesis. Degree Discernment must also be completed.

A candidate for a thirty-unit diploma/certificate must complete 24 of the 30 units in residence. A maximum of six units may be transferred into a thirty-unit diploma/certificate.
