MQ: MQ Program

Ministry Quest is about students exploring possibilities in ministry and leadership. It is a one year, two-stage, program for American and Canadian high school students, ages 16-18, who are curious about the call of God and ministry. You may be wondering about your life. How is your love for God going to combine with your gifts and passions? Could vocational ministry be for you? Each stage of MQ features a mentoring relationship, a retreat and three ministry observations.

The first stage, Charting Your Course, focuses on growing more in love with Jesus and figuring out what it means to be 'called’. Students will engage in thirteen mentoring sessions with a leader from their church, attend a six-day intensive retreat in Fresno, CA and observe their pastor in two distinct ministry settings.

The second stage, Setting Your Sail, focuses on getting to know more about yourself, leadership and ministry. This stage begins with a six-day retreat in British Columbia, Canada, has thirteen more mentoring sessions and three ministry experiences.

Students who wish to participate in MQ need to apply AND be nominated by their church. First, speak to your pastor about your interest in participating in MQ, then fill out your application.

MQ costs $125 per stage for students AND $300 per student per stage for churches.
