Seminary seeks MFT Professor

MB Biblical Seminary is seeking a Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy. Would you, or someone you know, be a candidate for this opportunity?

Join the team on our Fresno, California campus as we equip and inspire men and women to be disciples of Christ, and to serve and lead in the church and the world! This position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

The successful candidate must:

  1. demonstrate competence in marriage and family therapy, integration of the academic disciplines of theology and social sciences, and the practices of pastoral counseling.  Experience with spiritual direction would be helpful.
  2. be in agreement with the MB Biblical Seminary Mission and Identity statements and the Mennonite Brethren Confession of Faith

Preference will be given to those who:

  1. have a completed doctorate in a discipline related to marriage and family therapy or clinical psychology
  2. are, or are eligible to be, licensed in California
  3. have graduate theological training
  4. have experience counseling individuals, couples, families and children
  5. have experience living and working in a multi-cultural setting

Start date: September 2004, or January 2005 if necessary
This is a continuing appointment with an initial two-year term.
